주께서 심지가 견고한 자를 평강하고 평강하도록 지키시리니 이는 그가 주를 신뢰함이니이다. (사 26:3)
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. (Isaiah 26:3)
토기장이의 집에 늘 관심을 가지고 물심양면으로 후원해주시는 동역자 여러분께 감사 드립니다. 여러분의 기도와 후원 덕분에 어려운 환경가운데에서도 헤이스팅스의 원주민 빈민자들을 먹이고 입히며 그들에게 주님의 사랑과 희망을 전하는 사역은 오늘도 계속 되고 있습니다.
Potter’s Place Mission is deeply appreciates all the brother and sister who continuously have strong concern and support on our missionary work. Because of your prayers and supports we can keep our service’s that provides food and to deliver the message of love and hope in Jesus Christ to Hastings community.
1. 5월 중 한국방문
토기장이의 집에서 2011년 5월 10일부터 21일까지 원주민 목회자 19명 (10명 매니토바 주 / 9명 BC주)과 함께 한국을 방문하였습니다. 서울, 전주, 광주, 부산, 오산리등에 위치한 교회들을 방문하여 주님의 사랑과 능력안에서 과거의 상처와 아픔을 극복하고 다시 일어서고 있는 원주민의 이야기를 전하는 소중한 시간을 가졌습니다. 이번 일정에서 도움의 손길을 주신 주님과 한국에 계신 사역자분들과 관계자 분들께 깊은 감사를 드립니다.
A visit to Korea on March
Pastor Deborah lead the 19 first nation pastors from two province to visited Korea.(10-Manitoba / 9-BC). Organized by the pastor Hong (founder of love corp) Pastor Deborah and team visited number of churches in seoul and many different part of korea. (Seoul, Jeonju, Kwangju Busan and Osanri) and had heard the stories of growth of Korean church’s. all the First nations pastor’s were amazed be touched and challenged. It was a great success trip. Firsy nation pastor’s were very challenged and they too want to overcame the pains and wounds of past and rise up in the love and power of Jesus. We sincerely appreciate all the pastor’s and stuff and church’s who provide and helps in this journey.
2. 3기 Korean Student Program.
작년 3월에 한국 청년을 대상으로 시작한 훈련프로그램이 어느덧 3기에 들어섰습니다. 이 프로그램은 원주민 보호구역으로 훈련된 한국 학생들을 파송하여 원주민들을 섬기고 그들을 하나님께로 인도하기 위한 목적으로 시작되었습니다. 이번 term에는 8명의 20-30대 한국 청년들이 훈련에 참석하고 있습니다. 매일 새벽예배와 영어로 진행되는 Bible study, 영성 훈련, 공동체 생활, 섬김의 훈련, 금식 등을 하고 있으며. 이런 프로그램들을 통하여 삶이 변화되고, 상처가 치유되고, 신앙이 성장하는 모습들을 보이고 있습니다. 4월에는 Burns lake로 원주민 단기선교를 다녀왔습니다. 이번 선교는 원주민에 대하여 잘 알지 못했던 한국 청년들에게 원주민을 이해할 수 있도록 하는 아주 소중한 시간이었습니다. 현재 4기 학생들을 모집 중에 있습니다. 많은 청년들이 동참할 수 있도록 기도 부탁 드립니다.
3rd term’s of Korean missionary Program
Last March we began our 3rd term missionary program. This program is designed to provide training to Korean students. Korean students who are between age 20-30 are taking part in the program. Early morning they start the day by worship and meditation of the word. 9am they joined bible study and, community service, serving and part taking the 2 service a day. Through this programs their lives are changing, wounds are healed and their faith in God is growing every day. In April and May they visited 2 reserve and minister to Native kids. It was a precious time for them to understand the kids and people.
Potters place mission is urgently need of your prayer, that is pray for the 4th term, we need at least 20 student’s, 6 reserve’s are waiting for helpers who can be a friends and sharing the love of God to the kids and youth.
3. 미션공사가 끝남. 사역시작
작년 겨울, 정부로부터 미션의 낡은 부분을 수리하라는 통보를 받고 상당히 큰 공사에 들어갔습니다. 처음 계획보다 많은 시간과 돈이 들었지만 주님의 은혜로 아무런 사고 없이 안전하게 모든 공사를 마쳤습니다. 더 좋은 환경에서 거리 사람들을 섬길 수 있도록 모든 것을 주관해 주신 주님께 감사와 찬양을 드립니다.
Completion of construction of PPM
In the last fall we up graded Potters Place Mission to meet the requirement of city of Vancouver.
It took 3 month to redo old ceiling, put fire alam new electrical work, it was a huge scale of construction works. Although financially we were drain up but praised the Lord who allows us to serve street people better environment and cleaner place where they feel PPM as their home.
4. 말레이시아 교회 후원- 소 2마리
지난 겨울 미션 공사로 인하여 한동안 후원을 받지 못했습니다. 그래서 저희 미션에서는 소 2마리를 위하여 기도를 시작하였습니다. 그러던 중에 말레이시아 갈보리 교회에서 소 2마리를 살수 있도록 헌금해 주셨습니다. 언제나 신실하신 하나님께서 이번에도 저희들의 기도에 응답해 주셨습니다. 아버지의 은혜를 찬양합니다.
2 Cows from Calvary Church in Malaysia
Because of the construction in the last winter Potter’s Place Mission didn’t get regular food support,
PPM was really low on meat, meat is very important item tor PPM. To make balance meal, meat is essential.
We always want to serve good meal to all those coming into PPM.
Praise the Lord, as we began to pray for two cows, out of nowhere Calvary church in Malaysia sent us finance to buy two cows. God answer our prayer again, He truly loves downtown east side. Praise the name of our Lord Jesus..
5. H-Project 시작
홈리스에 대한 경험을 청소년들에게 전하고자 H-Project(Hastings Project)를 개설하였습니다. 지난 달에 처음으로 알버타 주에서 이 프로젝트에 참여한 팀이 있었습니다. 그리고 6월에 또 다른 팀이 예정되어 있습니다. 이 프로젝트는 일시적인 것이 아니라 지속적으로 운영하고 발전시킬 계획입니다. 이 프로젝트에 참여하고자 하는 분들은 국적에 상관없이 신청할 수 있으며, 저희 포터스 플레이스 미션의 홈페이지(www.pottersplacemission.com)나 메일(deborahcc21@gmail.com)등을 통하여 신청할 수 있습니다. 헤이스팅즈에 머물면서 거리사람들에게 복음을 전하고 그들을 섬기며 이해할 수 있는 귀중한 시간이 될 것입니다. 또한 청소년들에게 술과 마약에 대한 경각심을 심어줄 수 있을 것입니다. 더 많은 사람들이 이 프로젝트에 동참할 수 있도록 관심과 기도 부탁 드립니다.
The beginning of H-Project
In order to give youth the experience about homelessness, Potter’s Place Mission designed H-Project(Hastings Project). Last month we had the first H-Project team from Alberta, 10 youth and their pastors came and had a life time experience, We believe they will be never be same again. Perspective of being Christian has changed.
Please pray for 2nd group coming in June, they too have life changing experience and be bless, and more group to come and experience this wonderful H Project.
This H Project will be run year around and we will continually improve the program. This project is open for all nations and any church’s. More info about H project go to website (www.pottersplacemission.com)..
6. Bible school
변화된 삶을 살고자 결단한 원주민들과 거리 사람들을 위한 Bible School이 계속 되고 있습니다. 미국 Global 신학교와 제휴하여 동일한 교육과정을 제공하고, 정기적인 시험을 시행하고 있으며, 모든 교육과정을 이수한 학생들은 원주민 보호구역이나 본인들이 원하는 사역지에서 목회자로서의 헌신을 하게 될 것입니다. 현재 10명의 학생들이 이 과정에 참여하고 있습니다. 이들이 유혹에 흔들리지 않고 계속해서 공부에 집중할 수 있도록, 그리고 더 많은 원주민들과 거리 사람들이 이 공부에 참여할 수 있도록 기도 부탁 드립니다.
Bible School
Potter’s Place Mission has been running Bible School for the first nation people who decided to live changed life in gospel. Pastor Deborah is facilitator of the Global university theological school of USA. Using the same curriculum and test, graduate students will be ordain and become servants of most high God.
We now have a ten students join the bible school. Please pray for them to concentrate on the study and more first nations and street people into our bible school.
7. 기도제목
- 한국 청년들을 대상으로 한 훈련프로그램 4기를 모집 중에 있습니다. 20명 모집을 목표로 기도 중에 있으니 동역자 분들의 기도 부탁드립니다.
- 저희 커뮤니티 홈 1층에 ART GALLARY를 운영하고자 합니다. 이 갤러리의 운영을 도와줄 큐레이터를 구하는 중입니다. 원주민의 예술품을 위해 봉사해 주실 큐레이터를 위해 기도해 주십시오.
- 저희 미션의 주방에 더 깨끗한 음식의 제공을 위한 Dish washer를 설치하고자 합니다. 그러나 Dish washer를 설치할 경우 많은 공사비가 요구될 것으로 보입니다. 또한 현재 전기를 이용하는 주방 시스템을, 가스 시스템(공사비용 2만불)으로 변경하고자 합니다. 이미 작년에 미션을 공사하면서 많은 비용이 소비되어 이번 주방공사를 시작하기가 쉽지 않습니다. 모든 비용과 이 일을 진행해 줄 봉사자들을 위하여 기도와 후원을 부탁 드립니다.
- 저희 미션에서 올해 Merinol College를 인수하여 기존에 운영되던 Short term missionary program와 제반 프로그램들을 Community Art Gallery에서 좀 더 체계적인 커리큘럼과 교육 시스템 안에서 운영하려고 합니다. 보다 더 주님께서 원하시는 모습으로 학교가 기반을 닦아가기를 기도해 주십시오.

Prayer List
We are recruiting Korean students for the 4th term program. We expect 20 students and have been praying for them. Please pray with us.
- We are going to run art gallery at the first floor, and we need a curator who will help to run the gallery. Please pray for a curator who will work for first nation art gallery.
- We are in plan to install dish washer in our kitchen for better level of sanitary. On the other hand it requires higher budget. Also we need to change electronic oven to gas oven. Please pray for more finance and volunteer.
- This year Potter’s Place Mission took over Merinol College and we are in plan to run short term missionary program and other programs in the name of the college in order to provide more teachers. Please pray for the college to be shaped as our Lord wants.
